Many racing aficionados will say that they watch for a Thoroughbred that has “the look,” a hard-to-define special something about their appearance and demeanor that lets you know that they’re a winner. Susan Carlton Sifton has certainly imparted that feeling into her sculpture of Emerson. Racing fit, Emerson has a well-muscled lean body that’s paired with long, strong legs. His expression is alert yet calm, as if he’s taking in the sights and competition in the paddock before a race. Emerson may be the last release of the 2018 Premier Collection, but we have a feeling this racing fit Thoroughbred colt will finish strong!
Racing fans and model horse devotees alike won’t be able to keep their eyes off of Emerson with his incredible coat. The skilled hands of Canadian artist Tammi Palmarchuk painted him to a rich dark liver chestnut, accented by sabino markings. A self-taught artist, Tammi’s also a lifelong horsewoman and model horse enthusiast who uses oil paints to create her beautifully-detailed works.
Each Premier Collection exclusive model is a hand-painted work of art, and no two are ever precisely the same.
