Nanuqsaurus was a member of the tyrannosaur family. It was a carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Upper Cretaceous period, whose fossils have been found in the far north of Alaska. Fossilized remains including bones from the skull discovered in 2006 proved that a tyrannosaur had lived in a polar environment..

Its name means polar bear lizard, which is quite fitting when you look at this cool creature!
