Meet Michelle Masters

Michelle Masters has been managing the BreyerFest Open Show since 2006 and has been involved with model horse showing since attending her first show in 1975! She started collecting at the age of seven when she got her first model horse from her aunt, who handed down her Family Arabians, and now has a large, cherished collection of almost exclusively original finish Breyers. After that first show, Michelle was hooked on the hobby and started hosting her own shows in the 1980s. Michelle first attended BreyerFest in 1993 and has enjoyed many years in Kentucky with her daughters, who have also been collectors and showers.
Michelle considers her duties as show manager a true labor of love as it combines her passion for organizing and planning with her life-long involvement with the model horse hobby and her great affection for the BreyerFest event.
Outside of the hobby, Michelle has been an 8th grade English teacher since 1999 and loves to read. She has a silver Lab named Jacky, gets to the beach as often as possible, and enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles and craft projects, playing volleyball, and attending Renaissance festivals. She returned to riding dressage in 2024 after a long hiatus and is currently riding a chestnut Oldenberg named Heisman.
