Volunteer - BreyerFest 2026
BreyerFest: Midsummer Fair Volunteer Application
BreyerFest wouldn’t be possible without the help of our amazing crew of volunteers who come from all over the country (and world!) to support the event with their time, talent, and dedication.
For our 2026 in-person event, we are splitting up the application process into two segments. The application period for those seeking to support the Craft & Activity Center, Swap Meet & Artisans’ Gallery, BreyerFest Docents, and Workshop & Seminar assistants will open in February.
General Information:
• Dates of BreyerFest are July 10-12, 2026 with set-up and orientation occurring for these areas on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 and/or Thursday, July 9, 2026, as requested by the Volunteer Managers depending on the area you are selected for.
• Applicants must be 18 years old or older.
• No team or group entries accepted. Each person must apply individually. No more than one volunteer per household or family may be selected.
• All applicants must submit their applications through the online application form to be considered. Paper applications will not be accepted.
• Applications for this segment of volunteer positions will only be accepted between January 15, 2026 and February 15, 2026. No late or early applications will be accepted. Applications received or time-stamped outside of these dates will be discarded.
• Receipt of applications will be acknowledged within 7 (seven) days. If you have not heard that your application has been received, please contact Kathryn at kmcdermott@reevesintl.com for confirmation.
• Applications will be reviewed from February 16, 2026 through March 16th and all applicants will be notified if they are accepted or declined after March 16, 2026, giving everyone enough time to purchase tickets to BreyerFest.
• Volunteers will be scheduled to work approximately 8-10 hours in their department(s) during BreyerFest weekend. Additional hours above and beyond the ~8 scheduled hours include the training meeting, creating handouts, and other preparatory work necessary for the area you are assigned. All volunteers must satisfactorily complete all of their assigned duties and hours to be eligible for a BreyerFest Ambassador model.
• Please take note of the event locations below. These areas are not air-conditioned and if summer weather in Kentucky is challenging for you, please consider applying for positions that are indoors during the next round of applications.
• Volunteers cannot participate in other activities during their volunteer shift. IE: You cannot sit in on a seminar during your BreyerFest Ambassador shift. As well, volunteers cannot participate in the activity of an area where they are a volunteer. IE: You cannot paint Stablemates models while you are assisting in the Craft Tent.
• Your assignment(s) and schedule will be constructed solely on information supplied with your application. Please be sure to list all activities and events you plan to attend so that your schedule can be created accordingly. Please list any scheduling conflicts you may have on your application. A reasonable attempt will be made to work around your scheduling conflicts as long as they are known in advance, but accommodation will not be guaranteed.
• All volunteers should plan to attend the 60-minute training meeting for their area at the Kentucky Horse Park before the start of BreyerFest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 or Thursday, July 9, 2026. Your name badge, t-shirt(s) and other materials will be available at this meeting. Note: You must wear your Ambassador t-shirt during your shift(s) once BreyerFest begins.
• Volunteer Ambassador models will be distributed after the close of BreyerFest at 6:00 pm on Sunday. To ensure fairness to everyone, models will not be handed out before each area’s closing meeting; therefore, if selected, please adjust your travel plans back home accordingly.
