An Historic Achievement!

We went a few hundred years back in time with our Delft pottery-inspired Limited Edition decorator model that we revealed yesterday, but for today’s Special Run Model reveal, we are going back a few thousand years.

The Nemean Games were hosted every two years in honor of the gods Zeus and Heracles and likely date back to the 6^th century BCE. Hosted as a part of the Panhellenic Games, these events included both human athletic competitions (wrestling, running, and boxing) as well as equestrian competitions, including chariot racing. The equestrian games at Nemea were historically the only competitions that women were permitted to compete in, since it was the owner that was the victor, not the rider or driver.

For our BreyerFest celebration of Driving Forward this summer, we were inspired by this beautiful 4^th century BCE Amphora to create Nemea on the Akhal Teke mold (#805) sculpted by Heather Puleo, who has been shaded in a gorgeous orangey brown with a fiery mane and black decorative details, featuring a beautifully painted quadriga and driver on his barrel.

Our in-person VIP and All-Access ticket holders will have access to purchase this incredible piece of driving history as a part of this year's Special Run model lineup.

In love with this model. I love how it dates back to the first driving horses and inspired by ancient riding. I will definitely try to pick up one of these beauties. 😍❤️

Mannnn, if I collected decorators I would be all over this guy since he’s my favorite mold. Not sure about the red mane and tail but he’s gorgeous! I totally feel like there will be a 50/50 split with this guy having the colors reversed, that would be so cool!
