Artisans’ Gallery Feature – Brie Cundiff
The Artisans’ Gallery at BreyerFest showcases many of the best artists in the model horse hobby, from flat art, to 3-D sculpture, to tack and everything in between. Taking place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings (July 11th to the 13th) in the ballrooms at the Clarion Hotel, this artist showcase is not to be missed and will host more than 30 incredibly talented artists – including Brie Cundiff!
Brie joined the model horse hobby in mid-2018 as an adult and never had any idea how prolific customizing model horses was! She originally collected Breyer models as a small child, with her grandmother serving as her primary supporter.
In 2019, she made the switch to pastels and pigments, which she still uses to this day in her painted pieces. She details each model to realistic perfection in hand-painted acrylics to give them as much detail as possible.
Though it’s only been a few years, Brie says she’s learned so much in this time, met so many wonderful friends, and has found a huge amount of support from her husband, who has accompanied her to the past two BreyerFests. Outside of the hobby, Brie enjoys being a stay-at-home mom to her daughter (who is just starting to get into the hobby!) and her two dogs.
You can find Brie this summer in the Artisans’ Gallery at BreyerFest and you can find your tickets to BreyerFest here!
