These horses and their friends have made memories that will last a lifetime!
Australian artist Franceyn Dare has been a part of BreyerFest for the last few years, participating from abroad in both the Artisans’ Gallery and as a workshop instructor from her home on the other side of the world in Australia.
We are thrilled to welcome Franceyn for her in-person BreyerFest debut, and we are excited to showcase her in our first Artist Spotlight for this year’s BreyerFest Artisans’ Gallery!
Franceyn is most well-known for her crazy little character-filled “Weirdlings” and bright and cheerful “Lolly” ponies, but she’s also an incredible finishwork artist, creating highly-detailed realistic customs. You can check our her work here on her Facebook page.
In addition to this appearance in the Artisans’ Gallery, Franceyn is also hosting her first in-person workshop, Paved Ponies, where participants will be creating their own custom “Weirdling”-style Stablemates models. This workshop is sold out, but Franceyn is also hosting a fun virtual workshop where she will teach students how to customize their own lightbox for model horse photography!
Be sure to stop by the Artisans’ Gallery on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evenings during BreyerFest weekend to say “G’day!” to Franceyn and see some of her incredible art!
