It's Game Time!

It's Game Time!

Surprise - we are starting this week off with another Limited Edition model reveal! This year we decided to change up our usual Freedom Series model in the lineup and give you a fourth portrait horse.

Limited Edition models are available to all BreyerFest ticket holders, whether you’re joining us in-person or online, and we know you’re going to dance with joy when you add this guy to your herd! As we continue to showcase the variety of equestrian disciplines Breyer has represented through its models over the decades, this guy is going to have you sliding and spinning in your favorite pair of western boots - meet Game Day Surprise!

Freestyle reining combines the precision and technicality of reining maneuvers with music and choreography. To harmoniously pull off all aspects of a great freestyle, it takes a special connection between horse and rider. One horse who has made big waves in the world of freestyle reining is this 2008 buckskin gelding.

Sharee Schwartzenberger met Game Day Surprise - "Eli," as he is known in the barn - when he was 2 years old, and knew there was something special about him. He was athletic, learned quickly, and was very levelheaded, which are all qualities Sharee looks for in her freestyle horses. After some early competitions, the two clicked and became a force to be reckoned with in the ring. Some of Eli’s many accomplishments include the title of top freestyle earner in the world, winning the 2020 Ram Invitational Freestyle Championship on top of reserve champion titles in 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2024. Eli was born to be in the spotlight - he knows when it's game time and lets his personality shine.

On top of having fun costumes, catchy music, and technical maneuvers, Sharee and Eli are known for doing almost all their performances bridleless. The pair’s connection is so seamless, spectators have watched their routines only to notice Eli was bridleless at the very end!

Game Day Surprise's portrait model is a stunning dark buckskin on the Freedom Series  Hollywood Dun It mold (#478), sculpted by Carol Herden. His model includes a colorful blue and gold neck sash modeled after one that the real Eli wears during his performances! This model will be available as a part of our 2025 Limited Edition lineup available to all ticket holders, whether you’re joining us in-person or online. VIP ticket buyers may pre-select and pre-purchase this model at the time of their ticket purchase, guaranteeing their selection.

Sharee and Eli’s trust in each other allows this dynamic pair to dance flawlessly and in harmony under the lights. With Eli still performing at 17 years old, it is a true testament to their commitment to each other and is something to be celebrated!

This weekend at the 30th anniversary of the National Western Stock Show Ram Invitational Freestyle Reining competition, Sharee and Game Day Surprise crafted an extra-special performance for this monumental occasion. At the end of the incredible performance, spectators were treated to a special announcement of Eli’s BreyerFest model.

How exciting! Say, do you plan on releasing webpages featuring the full model lineup as well as the guest horses?

Robin - January 13, 2025

Small edit to my previous comment since I don’t read well when tired (lol)….

It’s great we’re getting four (maybe more??) portrait models this year.

I’ll still be hoping for something freedom series sized in decorator colors :)

That is so exciting. I personally know the family and they are the best. So fun to have a horse so close become a breyer model.
