Join us for a Breyer Pop-Up Event at the Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, CA

November 6-8, 2026

Breyer hosts three days of fun in the desert sun! Join us at the Desert International Horse Park during the National Sunshine Series, where Breyer will have free activities including meet & greets with hobbyists and Breyer artists, Stablemates painting, fun walk-up workshops, mini mock model horse shows and more! This event offers fans a taste of the Breyer experience and serves as a perfect introduction to model horse showing and the model horse hobby.

Model horse showers, get ready - Breyer will be hosting a model horse show on Friday afternoon with a themed, specialty class list! In case this doesn’t sound like enough fun, an exclusive model will also be available for purchase in conjunction with the event!

Stop by for all-day Breyer activities, watch the $117,000 CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix under the lights, and be sure to bring your cowboy boots! Both the Grand Prix and Country Night are on Saturday night, so come enjoy line dancing, live music and a mechanical bull - all at the Horse Park!

Desert International Horse Park Breyer Pop-up Experience Volunteer Application

Stablemates Painting Helpers, Guest Artists, Workshop Instructors, and Model Horse Show Judges & Stewards 

General Information:

• Dates of the event are November 6-8th, 2026 with set-up taking place on November 5th and breakdown taking place in the evening of November 8th.
• Applicants must be 18 years old or older.
• No team or group entries accepted. Each person must apply individually.
• All applicants must submit their applications through the online application form to be considered.  Paper applications will not be accepted.
• Applications for these volunteer positions will only be accepted between September 4, 2026 and September 20, 2026. No late or early applications will be accepted. Applications received or time-stamped outside of these dates will be discarded.
• Receipt of applications will be acknowledged within 7 (seven) days. If you have not heard that your application has been received, please contact Kathryn at kmcdermott@reevesintl.com for confirmation.
• Applications will be reviewed from September 21, 2026 through September 25, 2026 and all applicants will be notified if they are accepted or declined after September 28, 2026, giving everyone enough time to make travel arrangements if necessary.
• Volunteers will be scheduled to work approximately 8-10 hours in their area(s) during the weekend. Additional hours above and beyond the ~8 scheduled hours may include setup, and any other preparatory work necessary for the area you are assigned. All volunteers must satisfactorily complete all of their assigned duties and hours to be eligible for an Ambassador model.
• Please note that the entirety of this event will take place outdoors in November in California.  While some of the activities will be tented, no spaces will be in buildings or in air conditioning.  The model horse show will be completely open air, on astroturf flooring. 
• Volunteers cannot participate in other activities during their volunteer shift.  IE: You cannot sit in on a workshop if you are supposed to be assisting with Stablemates painting. As well, volunteers cannot participate in the activity of an area where they are a volunteer. IE:  You cannot paint Stablemates models while you are assisting guests with this activity. 
• Your assignment(s) and schedule will be constructed solely on information supplied with your application. Please be sure to list all activities and events you plan to attend so that your schedule can be created accordingly.  Please list any scheduling conflicts you may have on your application. A reasonable attempt will be made to work around your scheduling conflicts as long as they are known in advance, but accommodation will not be guaranteed.  
• All volunteers should plan to participate in event setup on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at Desert International Horse Park before the start of the weekend to drop off any supplies they may have and to assist with setup of the different areas. Your name badge and other materials will be distributed at this time.
• Volunteer Ambassador models will be distributed at the end of each day of the weekend to volunteers who have completed all of their weekend hours that day, the majority of which will be presented Sunday. If selected, please adjust your travel plans back home accordingly.
