Did you guess our clue from yesterday?

Svalbard is a grouping of Norwegian islands that lie in the Arctic Ocean, between Norway and the North Pole.  It is one of the world’s northernmost inhabited areas, and while it was used as a whaling outpost in the 17^th and 18^th centuries, it was not permanently settled until the 20^th century.  With a population of just about 3,000 people, these islands are a popular tourist destination for people seeking out their rustic arctic beauty and are home to a number of research facilities.

To pay homage to this incredible archipelago, we are excited to introduce this year’s Open Model Horse Show Overall Champion prize – Svalbard.  Done on the Gaming Stock Horse, mold #730, in a stunning chestnut varnish appaloosa, only fourteen lucky champions will have the opportunity to add this exquisite model to their herd.
