Each year at BreyerFest, our Surprise Special Run model is a fan favorite – even before anyone lays eyes on it! Months of speculation, guessing games, and sleuthing all lead up to that one special moment when the first model is unwrapped and posted online for all to see.
For our celebration of Midsummer Fair, the Friesian Sporthorse (mold #806, sculpted by Lynn Fraley and also known as "Vermeer") was this year’s “Scandi Surprise!”
Of the eleven possible variations available, five were matte finish, and six were glossy finish. This year’s matte finish lineup was as follows:
- Matte Bay Roan - 1,150 pieces
- Matte Chestnut Tobiano Pinto - 1,015 pieces
- Matte Champagne - 1,150 pieces
- Matte Black Leopard Appaloosa - 870 pieces
- Matte Dark Dappled Bay - 1,060 pieces
This year’s decorator color was only available in a glossy finish. This gold sabino is inspired by the golden-maned horse of Norse mythology known as “Gullfaxi.” Our glossy finish lineup was as follows:
- Glossy Bay Roan - 385 pieces
- Glossy Chestnut Tobiano Pinto - 385 pieces
- Glossy Champagne - 385 pieces
- Glossy Black Leopard Appaloosa - 385 pieces
- Glossy Dark Dappled Bay - 385 pieces
- Glossy Gold Sabino - 630 pieces
Which of these gorgeous colors did you come home with?
