Let me tell you about my horse. My horse is a 19 yo, pure black (no face markings or socks at all), Warmblood, mare that stands 15hh and her name is Breezy! When I got her a year ago, she didn’t have any muscle and didn’t even know how to jump! within 5 months of having her, muscles were back up and running! Just about a week ago, I stared teaching her to jump and now she is jumping almost 3ft! Breezy has been such a HUGE part of my life. She is a merical and a blessing to me and my family. She may be old, but she will always be my baby.

I’d love to see Moiffa! The horse whom national velvet is based upon. This thoroughbred swam 50 miles after a shipwreck and went on to wi the grand national by 8 lengths! She is a star and I need her in a model!

I would love to tell you about my daughter’s horse. 2006 TB mare, raced twice, busted hip, and has been her hippo therapy horse since 2019. After having been left in an abandoned barn to die, she was rescued just in time. Now fully rehabbed, she still can’t jump, but is my daughter’s best friend. Her bloodlines go all the way back to The Mostest Hoss, and she’s found her forever home with us. It doesn’t hurt that she is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly intuitive. She’s brilliant with my amazing, special daughter. It’s unfortunate that there are so many stories of abused horses, but refreshing at the same time that there are all sorts of people and organizations who take these projects on. We applaud ALL of you. Lily says THANKS for saving her. She’s in a good place.

Against All Odds nomination: There is a little Canadian semi feral foal on indigenous lands that completely broke her leg. The indigenous peoples in the area have rights and ownership of some of the wild horses and their own herd horses are also quite often free ranging. This is a fairly remote area with natural predators- mountain lions, grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, and coyotes that are dangers to both domestic and wild foals. When she broke her leg, her mother brought her in from the wild to the indigenous owner of her herd. He reached out to neighbors for help. A nearby ranch started looking for solutions for her and went on an extensive at least two week long road journey and took her to multiple vets and extensive testing and evaluation with a dismal prognosis, before an equine clinic agreed to try to help. He then drove into the United States taking her along with her mother for treatment. She’s been an amazing trooper through all the process and they’ve saved her leg. She and her mother have been at the equine center for months now. She’s getting ready to come back to BC Canada. Her name is Second Chance. The ranch that helped Second Chance is called the Flying L and is owned by Michael and Nicole Lares. The indigenous owner, I believe, signed over rights to the two horses so that the Lares could advocate for her. They have a Instagram account under Michael Lares and there’s multiple reels of her story as it’s happened.

I love all of the suggestions. I have an Appaloosa stallion (DC Reoccuring Dream) aka Lotto who is one of a set of surviving twins sired by the great Dreamfinder. He was born with a crushed bone plate in his right hock and weighed only 25 pounds. It was recommended by vet and others that he should be put down. He wasn’t and with the dedication of people that loved him and a fantastic Amish blacksmith, Lotto is sound at 23 years old. I got Lotto when he was 6 and I bred him to my foundation Appaloosa mare (Cheyennerizngstar H). It was her first foal. I had heard from several horse people that first foals were usually not that good. Cheyenne presented us with a beautiful bay leopard colt (Dreams Desert Knight). I had just started showing
the year before so it was really new for me. We put Cheyenne and Dream into a local show when he was just 2 1/2 months old. He placed in all 3 classes and won the 2 and under class. Dream won his first of many high point halter awards when he was just 10 months old. He went on the win the Appaloosa Horse Club Master Award (the best Appaloosa in the world in mixed breed shows) in 2009 and 2010. This whole story is real and against all odds. You can read Lotto and Dream’s story and see their video at rainbowridgeapps.com.

Seabiscuit, immediate response… Also Bright Zip, who continued to perform shows without anyone knowing that he had gone blind. Both already Breyer models though. Like Snowman.
