BreyerWest Painting Challenge!

We are so excited to be gathering in Denver next weekend with fans!  Because of its smaller size, BreyerWest is able to offer fans a fun and unique experience by allowing them to chat with Breyer artists, see special models up close, and participate in workshops taught by some of the most talented instructors in the model horse hobby. 

Continuing the tradition started by former BreyerWest Show Manager Erin, we will be rounding out the weekend with a fun, timed painting challenge!  Anyone who is in the BreyerWest area at 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon, March 17^th, is welcome to participate in this fun paint-off using JUST the available Breyer Stablemates painting supplies

Feel free to bring your own references for this year’s three fun categories –

• Realistic
• Fantasy deco
• Favorite Mythology

Realistic horses should be just that – from bay pintos to palominos, we want to see your most beautifully painted Stablemates scale model inspired by a real horse. 

Fantasy decos can be inspired by rainbows, wild animal mashups, pop-art – your imagination is your limit!  These fantasy decos, however, should NOT be inspired by your favorite mythology, which is our third category this year!

Favorite Mythology horses can be inspired by figures, symbols, or worlds from your favorite mythology – Greek, Roman, Norse, Celtic, Eastern, and more!  The more creative the better!

Feel free to bring a reference image to guide you for any of these three categories.  All participants will receive a Stablemates model, paint and brushes from the Stablemates painting area, and just 60 minutes to complete their creations.  No fancy paints or tools allowed!
