Let’s Paint Some Happy Little….
….SKULLS!
Artist Laura Thomson is bringing her flat art painting skills from BreyerFest to attendees at BreyerMidwest this winter. This relaxing canvas painting session is geared towards painters 16 and older (but younger painters are welcome if they are up to the task!) and is a great way to finish out the day before the chaos of the Saturday evening Swap Meet & Artisans’ Gallery.
The final session in our “skulls and bones” workshop series for Saturday, January 24th, Laura brings the beauty of the Midwest to life in this stunning acrylic painting. The dichotomy of the cattle skull paired with Kansas’ state flower (the sunflower!) and complimentary bouquet wrapped with stylized hawk feathers combines the beauty of life and death in an unexpectedly poetic way.
