Tack For Beginners Of All Ages
Ruth Sheridan of Portmanteau Equine Art will be joining us all the way from Oregon this winter at BreyerMidwest. On Saturday, January 24th, she is looking forward to showing budding tack makers the ropes with this workshop, geared towards all ages of hobbyists who have not yet forayed into the world of tack making, but want to get started.

This session will use sheets of craft foam and regular household tools to create a saddle, saddle pad, and hackamore bridle – no fancy materials or tools needed! Ruth will walk participants through the process of cutting their pattern, fitting to their model, and assembling all the pieces. This session includes a Traditional Scale Breyer to fit your new saddle and bridle onto!
Young kids are welcome – just bring scissors skills or a grown-up – but this is also a great session for adult collectors who want to get started on their own tack.
