The First Release in the 2021 Premier Collection
When one thinks of the Mustang, words like freedom, attitude, and spirit come to mind. Originally descended from the horses of Spanish explorers, these hardy, free-roaming horses can still be found in the American west, where they live in small herds or bands. Over the centuries, their bloodlines have mixed with many other breeds, creating greater genetic diversity and introducing many coat colors and patterns to these living symbols of the West.
Equine artist Rayvin Maddock of Khrysalis Studios created Fireheart’s dynamic sculpture and original coat. She shares, “Capturing the wild spirit, strength yet also balancing it with confidence, control and elegance was my goal. This boy is both grounded in the earth and filled with fire.” Blending attitude with strength, her sculpture embodies the confident aura and inherent power Fireheart possesses. You can almost hear the squeal that this feisty Mustang stallion would make as he postures, stomping and swishing his tail in defense of his herd!
Rayvin gave Fireheart an incredible sooty palomino blanket appaloosa coat that’s enhanced with subtle dapples that give the hue an incredible depth. He also has striped hooves, and a pearly shimmer in his wild mane and tail.
A lifelong horse lover, Rayvin describes Breyer as her gateway into equine sculpture. A full-time artist, she’s quickly gaining attention for her breathtaking work. While her art primarily centers around the model horse hobby, she also works in bronze, and has had one of her bronze pieces juried into the Calgary Stampede Art Auction! Fireheart is her first Traditional-scale work for Breyer.
