Cozy Up for the New Year: Vintage Breyer Marathon!

Cozy Up for the New Year: Vintage Breyer Marathon!

It's almost 2023! The days leading up to New Year's is a time to party, but it's also a great time to kick back, relax, and cozy up with some good reads or fun films to watch. If you're in the mood for the latter, we have a few treats for Collector Club members! To wrap up this amazing year, we're releasing three vintage Breyer videos from the Archives for you to enjoy.

Breyer Factory Tour (1990)

This promotional VHS was filmed in 1990 at the Breyer Factory in Wayne, NJ and gives an overview of the Breyer production process, from raw materials to final boxed product.

Horseworld: BreyerFest (1997)

Horseworld was an equestrian-themed television program broadcast primarily in the 1990s. In this episode, producers traveled to BreyerFest 1997 at the Kentucky Horse Park, where they introduced Breyer's premiere event to a wider audience and visited iconic attractions that are still part of the event today, including the Covered Arena performances, Hall of Champions, and the Live Auction.

Breyer on QVC: June 5th, 1998

In one of Breyer's many appearances on the QVC shopping network, Stephanie Macejko introduces a variety of collectible pieces, including an exclusive glossy chestnut Belgian, the 25th anniversary edition of Secretariat, and Cigar's portrait model. No internet connection here - to order these models, you had to pick up the phone and call in the old-fashioned way!

I just found my full 2001 QVC airing footage and was going to have it digitized. I think I also have 1995

That was a neat video of the factory tour. I was able to go to the Premier event in 2002 (I came all the way from northern BC, Canada) and my Mauvelous is one of my favourite models in my collection. I would love to see him in a stablemate version, along with Huckleberry Bey. I really like that you are making many horses in the smaller size as my collection space is limited. I love seeing the new models and sculptures. Thank you!!

I really enjoyed these. I work in plastic injection molding so seeing the process of making the models I wish these are made in my factory. I probably would have been bringing some of the rejects home with me 😆
