The theme of this show is inspired by your favorite storybook fables, allowing you to write the story of your own collection! There will be a fairytale-themed halter division as well as a Collector’s Class division.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eModel Horse Shows\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat is model horse showing? Participants show their Breyer model horses in the same way a person might show a real, living horse. Models are entered in either “halter” or “collectors” classes and experienced judges review and judge each entry based on specific criteria.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn “Halter” classes, an untacked, unaltered Breyer model horse is entered into a particular class based on the breed the competitor has assigned to their model. If an Arabian model horse is entered into an Arabian class, the judge will choose the winning horses based on conformation, characteristics, and colors typical for that breed. Competitors are welcome to show models in classes that are not necessarily obvious for the mold they are showing if they can provide documentation to support their entry. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn “Collector’s” classes, models are shown in small, curated collections based on a unifying theme, era, or commonality.  Unlike traditional halter classes described above, these collectibility division classes focus on the curation, rarity, and presentation of the group.  For the purposes of this show, prompts for these classes are provided in the show packet and the number of models is limited to six.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eOpen Model Horse Show\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis show is the perfect place to dip your toes into the world of model horse showing.  No matter your age (all ages are welcome!), if you’re new to the world of showing your model horses, this is the show for you!  We provide a helper for all entrants on the day of the show, and we will show you how it all works. This is a slower-paced show intended to be educational and fun! Rosettes will be rewarded to the Grand and Reserve Grand Champion of the halter division, as well as to each class winner of the Collector’s division. All rosette winners will receive a Breyer model horse.
