Special Run FAQs!

Obviously, we won’t be revealing these models to you just yet, but we do have some information we want to brush up on before tickets go on sale later this winter.

We know that a big question many potential ticket buyers have is, “what are Special Run models and how do I get them?”

What are Special Run Models?

If you’re new to BreyerFest, Special Run models are a category of models made exclusively for BreyerFest and reserved for specific ticket types.  These models are only sold at (or during) BreyerFest and not in stores or a part of Breyer’s regular online offerings.

How many options are there?

The total number of models offered varies from year to year, but in recent years there have been nine different options, including a non-horse animal option. Within each option we may or may not have included some surprises or variations - like ½ the run is glossy, mane or tail variations, split color runs, or the entire model is a Surprise!  In-person attendees have access to all of the Special Run model options, while online attendees have access to a limited selection of the Special Run model options.  Which specific Special Run Models each ticket type has access to will be noted on the Exclusive Models page on BreyerHorses.com once we start revealing models.

What is the “Surprise” Horse?

If you’re familiar with the Seize the Day Surprise from 2025, you might remember that fans didn’t know anything about this model (mold or colors) until it was revealed at BreyerFest.  With the "Surprise” Special Run model option you won't know anything about the model you are getting until you open it. 

For our Online Traditional Access ticket holders, you’ll likely learn what the variations are during BreyerFest weekend through people posting on social media.  If you were assigned a Surprise model as one of your Special Run selections in your account, you’ll be able to see the logo for the Surprise model in your assignments on your account, but you won’t know which of the variations you’ll be getting until you receive your models in the mail after you purchase them.

Are Special Run tickets included in the cost of my VIP, All-Access, or Online Traditional Access tickets?

For VIP ticket holders, yes, the cost of the Special Run models is included in the cost of your ticket.  VIP ticket holders will pre-pay for one of each of the nine Special Run models (any variations will be randomly selected) at the time of their ticket purchase.

If you are an All-Access ticket holder, these models are not included in the cost of your ticket purchase and must be picked up and paid for on site at BreyerFest.  If you’re an Online Traditional Access ticket holder, these models are not included in the cost of your ticket purchase and must be added to your cart and checked out online. All purchases will be shipped to you after BreyerFest weekend in July.

All-Access ticket holders will be able to purchase up to two (2) Special Run models per ticket; Online Traditional Access ticket holders will be able to purchase up to two (2) Special Run models per ticket but will only have access to five of the nine available options.

What does the purchase process for Special Run models look like?

The process is different for each ticket type so read along carefully!

·        VIP ticket quantities will be limited, but if this is the ticket type you purchase, you will be pre-paying for all nine Special Run models at the time of your ticket purchase.  Simple as that!  You will receive an email with a Master QR code valid for all your included and pre-paid models. Just scan the code at the VIP line to pick up your models. The VIP bundles will be boxed so only 1 quick scan is necessary. These models are reserved for you, so you can pick them up any time during BreyerFest weekend that is convenient for you.  No need to stand in line if there is one, simply come back to the VIP Tent when the line is gone.

·        All-Access ticket buyers will be able to purchase up to two (2) Special Run models per All-Access ticket.     

o   Ticket holders who purchase their All-Access tickets prior to the Preference Form deadline in June (the exact deadline date will be announced when tickets go on sale this winter) will be emailed preference forms allowing them to rank this year’s Special Run models in order of their preference.  Accounts with multiple All-Access tickets can choose to either do a master list or individual lists for each ticket. 

§  Please note that Preference forms are not a “selection” or “guarantee” of the models you will be assigned.

o   Based on your place in the virtual “line” and your submitted preferences, models will be assigned to your account and you’ll be emailed a master QR code that contains your RESERVATION tickets that correspond to the Special Run models you’ve been assigned.  You will know what models you’ve been assigned before BreyerFest.  These models are reserved for you and you can pick up your models anytime that is convenient for you during BreyerFest weekend! 

o   If you do not submit a preference form or the models on your list were not available when your place in the virtual line is reached for allocations, models will be assigned to your account randomly.  Your master QR code will contain RESERVATION tickets for these models and which models you’ve been assigned will be in your ticket email.

o   If you purchase your All-Access ticket after the Preference Form deadline in June, you’ll be emailed a Master QR code with WILD CARD allocations.  This Master QR code can be scanned for your choice of any of the remaining Special Run models on site at BreyerFest.  They are not for a specific Special Run model, and it’s highly likely that not all nine options will be available.

o   Whether you have RESERVATION Special Run allocation or WILD CARD Special Run allocation, all All-Access ticket holders must pay for their Special Run models at BreyerFest. 

·        Online Traditional Access ticket buyers will be able to purchase up to two (2) Special Run Models per ticket but will have access to a selection of the available Special Run models.   In 2026, Online Traditional Access ticket holders will have access to five of the nine available options, which will be noted on the Exclusive Models page as models are released.

o   Buyers who purchase their tickets prior to the Preference Form deadline in June (the exact deadline date will be announced when tickets go on sale this winter) will be emailed preference forms allowing them to rank this year’s Special Run models in order of their preference.  Accounts with multiple Online Traditional Access tickets can choose to either do a master list or individual lists for each ticket. 

§  Please note that Preference forms are not a “selection” or “guarantee” of the models you will be assigned.

o   Based on your place in the virtual “line” and your submitted preferences, models will be assigned to your account and these models will be made available for you to purchase during BreyerFest weekend. 

o   If you do not submit a preference form, purchase your tickets after the Preference Form deadline, or the models on your list were not available when your place in the virtual line is reached, models will be randomly assigned to your account for purchase during BreyerFest weekend.

o   Either way, you will find out which models you have been assigned access to purchase when you log into your account BreyerFest weekend.  You will not know which models you’ve been assigned prior to BreyerFest weekend.

o   You are not required to purchase the model(s) assigned to your account.  If you purchase multiple Online Traditional Access tickets to BreyerFest and have multiple Special Run models to choose from, you can buy some, all, or none of the models available to you – your choice!

o   You must add the models you wish to purchase to your cart and complete the checkout process before 2 pm EDT on Sunday, July 12. Models will be shipped to the address provided.
