Acrylic paints are some of the easiest-to-find art materials out there - and they're also quite affordable, making them perfect for beginner artists. However, they can be a bit tricky to apply by hand without visible brushstrokes. In this video, artist Jenn Constantine shares her tips and tricks for painting with acrylics and blending them into a beautifully-shaded coat for your next custom Breyer model.

    • Army Painter primer recommended
  • Wet palette

  • Dry brushes (available here)
  • Clean water
  • Paper towels
  • Blending gel (available here)
  • Acrylic paint in colors:
    • Titanium white
    • Unbleached titanium
    • Raw sienna
    • Burnt sienna
    • Burnt umber
    • Mars/carbon black
    • Metallic gold
    • Metallic copper
    • Jenn recommends Liquitex Soft Body or Golden Fluid paints.
