Painting Hair-By-Hair Appaloosas Workshop

Painting Hair-By-Hair Appaloosas Workshop

with Teddy Bates

In this workshop, UK finishwork artist Teddy Bates will teach you how to paint a semi-leopard varnish roan appaloosa in super-fine detail with a focus on hair direction using a hair-by-hair technique with acrylic paints. You will learn how to create and use both a dry brush and a fine detail brush, along with some techniques to keep a point on your detail brush. You will also learn techniques for following hair direction while painting, particularly in the tricky hip area of the horse. Teddy's expertise will help you bring your appaloosa finishwork to life!
