Fall 2020 Coloring Contest Winners!

Even though the entry period for our Fall 2020 coloring contest was a mere ten days, the entry turnout was astounding! We had quite the difficult time picking only one winner in each of our four categories. Each entrant colored in an illustration of a pegasus taking flight, and we loved seeing all of the different takes everyone had on this image.

For this contest, we had three age categories: 10 and under, 11-16, and 17 and older, plus the debut of our "digital" category, which was for digitally-colored entries from participants of all ages. Each of our four winners will receive a complete set of Fairytale Friends models as their prize!

The results are as follows:

10 and under winner

Catalina T., NC

Catalina's cool-toned color palette immediately caught our eye. Her color choices on the pegasus' body makes it jump right off of the page, even with similar tones! Great work!

11-16 winner

Layna M., FL

Layna's entry is bright, bold, and beautiful. The rays from the moon create excellent contrast between the pitch black starfield, and they naturally draw our eye to the pegasus. Just like the background, the pegasus itself is filled with bold colors and shading. Bravo!

17 and older winner

Rachel A., NC

Rachel's entry is a wonderful study in light and shadow. The blending from yellow, to pink, to purple is just gorgeous! The colors in the pegasus' mane and tail are also beautifully done. Congratulations!

Digital winner

Amy W., UT

Amy's piece is simply stunning - it features perfect use of light and shadow, and we just want to reach out and touch the softness of this pegasus' hair and wings! This entry truly is a work of art.
