The Aftermath of Hurricane Helene

The Aftermath of Hurricane Helene

It is impossible to imagine the damage caused by the recent storm, Helene.

Members of the Breyer family have been dramatically impacted by this catastrophic weather event and are in need of assistance.

Amanda Delgado, owner of our 2024 BreyerFest Celebration Horse Athenian Lady, is supporting those in need in western North Carolina and has posted publicly to her Facebook page a call for assistance. Since not all Breyer fans are on social media, we wanted to share this important information on the Breyer Blog in the hopes that it reaches as many people as possible.

If you are in Moore County:

Red's Corner is accepting donations of new clothing items, toiletries, water, non perishables, and water sanitation supplies.

Moore Equine Feed & Pet Supply has an open account and will be using donations to send equine and pet material where needed. Please call to donate.

One of the biggest ways you can help is by donating!

These organizations have been recommended by Amanda in her public request:

• To make a financial donation, call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767), text HELENE to 90999, or visit https://www.redcross.org/donate/dr/hurricane-helene.html

• They are staged in Statesville and are providing immediate rescue for animals in the mountains.

• They are organizing vets, equine supplies, and relief for horses. Donate to the most urgent need or natural disaster fund.
