The Western Horse has always had nostalgia on its side, and even the Western Pony managed to survive well into the 1970s. But Chris Hess’s Fury Prancer (mold #P45) was considered something of a relic even in the early 1960s, and he hasn’t been seen much since his release as TV’s Fury was discontinued in 1966.
He’s still loved by Breyer history buffs who appreciate him as much for his historical significance as his old-fashioned charm. Some of the earliest known Prancers came with a rare Music box option, and so does this Vintage Club release Rustler! We’ve also decided to give this old favorite a fresh new look in an updated black pinto pattern designed by Lesli Kathman.
