Pony Pockets: Video Tutorial
"Pony pockets" are a fun and simple solution to safely storing or transporting your Breyer models! Best of all, they're easy to make. Seamstress Lindsay Diamond will show you how to sew your own Stablemates-size pony pocket in this video workshop, but the methods shown here can be used to create a pocket of any size.
This is a replay of a live workshop held as part of Breyer's 2023 National Fun Day.
Recommended Supply List:
- Cotton or flannel fabric (for outer fabric)
- White flannel fabric (for lining)
- Quilt batting (for padding; ex. Fairfield Mid-Weight)
- Hook-and-loop velcro
- Sewing thread (white, plus contrasting color(s) for your fabric)
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
- Sewing pins
Sizing for Stablemates-scale Pony Pocket:
- Fabric, lining, and batting: 13" x 6"
- Velcro: two 1" pieces
