Workshops at BreyerFest offer hands-on learning experiences for all skill levels! Whether you are a novice or veteran in the model horse hobby, we have a workshop for you! If you’ll be attending BreyerFest in-person, be sure to register early for these experiences; these popular sessions sell out quickly! Sessions will be on sale in early May.
Open to VIP and All-Access ticket holders only, our in-person workshops offer guests instruction from experienced Model Horse Hobby artists on topics ranging from tack making to sculpting. Our VIP ticket holders will also have exclusive access to a selection of the sessions.
In addition to these in-person experiences, VIP, All-Access, and Online Traditional Access ticket holders will have access to this year’s selection of virtual workshops, which include more than a dozen pre-recorded sessions, and are free to view! Simply get your supplies together and watch on your own time during BreyerFest weekend! This summer’s virtual sessions will be announced, along with their supply lists, in early June.
Getting There
All in-person BreyerFest workshops will be hosted in the South Expo Hall of the Alltech Arena, unless otherwise noted in their description. Please be sure you allow yourself plenty of time to get to the Alltech Arena so that you are on time for your workshop sessions. As well, there is a seating area near the classroom spaces that is reserved for parents who have younger children attending workshops. The Alltech Arena is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Covered Arena and the main activities of BreyerFest, so we recommend guests take advantage of our shuttle!
If you register for a 10:00 am class on Friday, we recommend parking up at the Alltech Arena Friday morning and heading straight to your session to avoid any delays at the Ticket Booth entrance.
New for 2026
BreyerFest is thrilled to once again be hosting a two-part workshop series! These sessions will take place on Friday morning and Saturday morning and participants should plan to participate in both parts; both sessions will be sold as one workshop once classes go on sale in the spring.
As well, we will once again be hosting Thursday morning classes on July 9th so we can offer as many of these amazing classes to fans as possible. All of this year’s sessions are unique; none of our in-person classes in 2026 are duplicates.
Levels are defined as follows:
Beginner – good for a student who has never taken a workshop or is learning a new skill
Intermediate – perfect for the student who has taken a similar BreyerFest workshop or has experience in the subject
Advanced – ideally suited to students who have extensive knowledge of the subject and have taken previous BreyerFest workshops.
Most sessions are rated as being suitable for beginner to advanced students, meaning they are appropriate for all levels of skill.
Registering for Sessions
If you plan to participate in the BreyerFest Open Model Horse Show on Thursday July 9th or Friday, July 10th, please be sure to check the schedule to make sure you do not accidentally register for workshop sessions that run concurrently with the show days. You cannot participate in both.
If you plan to participate in the BreyerFest Children’s and Youth Model Horse Shows on Saturday July 11th, please be sure to check the schedule to make sure you do not accidentally register for workshop sessions that run concurrently with the show. You cannot participate in both.
VIP Workshops – please note
BreyerFest VIP Ticket holders have exclusive access to this selection of workshops, hosted by a lineup of incredible talents in the model horse hobby. Please note that each of these workshops is hosted on a specific day at a specific time. Limit of two seats per VIP ticket holder per workshop. If you choose to purchase two seats in a VIP session, both participants must have VIP tickets to BreyerFest. Ticket status will be verified.
