Barreling Into BreyerFest!

For today’s demo group, we encourage all the clapping, shouting, and whistling as you cheer on the fastest horse! We are excited to welcome back barrel racer Jessica Frederick and her friends to the Covered Arena at BreyerFest. Jessica is a professional horse trainer from Cynthiana, Kentucky. She competes in the southeast region of the country in various barrel racing and speed events representing her Moon Cat Farm.

Traveling with her horses is not just a hobby, and she takes great pride in showing them at their prime! Just this past year, she has earned World Championship honors at the Palomino World Show in both barrels and poles and also regained her barrel champion title at the 2024 Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) at the Kentucky Horse Park. That was her second championship retraining an off-the-track Thoroughbred for barrels. This past year she had the privilege of riding a horse sired by the famous Triple Crown winner, American Pharaoh! He was a one-eyed wonder, but always gave her his best – and his best showed above the rest at the RRP this year. Jessica also offers training and riding lessons at her farm, and her hope is to encourage others to grow in the horse industry and chase their dreams.

Her horse Showem the Chrome is an 8yr old American Quarter Horse gelding. He is a 2x Palomino Horse World Champion in the Palomino Bred classes. He has multiple NBHA, IBRA and NPBA placings in the 1D. He is also a AQHA World Championship show qualifier. His grandsire is Dash Ta Fame, and he also has Streaking Six, Firewater Flit, and Easy Jet in his breeding. "Chrome" has a heart of gold and does everything he can to please you. He is a hardworking horse that puts 110% into everything he does.

This year joining Jessica and Chrome are an amazing group of barrel racing enthusiasts who are excited to put on a mock barrel race. We can’t wait to see which pair will be the fastest!
