Meet Cash!

Get ready to meet another incredible guest horse - Cash! This handsome fella is a 2009 buckskin Quarter Horse gelding, who was entered by his owner, Andrew Monigold of Ohio, into Breyer’s 75^th Anniversary essay contest.  Andrew’s essay highlighted how former lesson horse Cash taught countless children to ride before retiring and starting his life with Andrew. Their partnership rekindled Andrew’s lost love of horses from childhood, and introduced the pair to their new passion, ranch roping!

Every horse lover has had a special connection with a horse at some point in their lives, and that magic is what continues to inspire us at Breyer. Last year, in honor of Breyer’s 75^th anniversary, an essay contest was held, which offered the chance to have your favorite horse become a Breyer model as the grand prize. A team of 12 judges pored through the nearly 2,000 incredible entries received. While Breyer believes every horse is a superstar, only one could be chosen to become part of our lineup – which was Cash!

Andrew said it best in his essay, “Being a Breyer model would show everyone that dreams of every level are worth celebrating and even small victories deserve rewards.” Cash’s magic has touched countless people through his career and his Breyer model is able to continue that!
