Happy St. Patrick’s Day! For today’s guest horse reveal we thought it would be fitting to talk about Breyer’s very own Patrick – Patrick the Mini, that is! This fan-favorite Miniature Horse will be celebrating 18 years of performing at BreyerFest in 2026.
Meet GTR Patricks Vindicator, also known as Patrick the Mini Horse! What this adorable guy lacks in stature he makes up for in personality. This 1994 American Miniature Horse gelding has become a staple of Kentucky equine events, including BreyerFest. Owned, trained, and exhibited by Sarah Schaff, “Patrick” and Sarah began their partnership in the show ring, but now work tirelessly to promote the Miniature Horse breed and enrich the lives of others.

Standing only 33.5 inches tall, their performances showcase Patrick’s delightful personality, an assortment of tricks, and impressive jumping ability. Feeding off the crowd’s enthusiasm, Patrick has jumped heights of up to 4 feet! Even at the young age of 32, Patrick and Sarah are still wowing crowds with his athletic ability. Patrick’s talents also extend far past the arena when he visits schools, hospitals, and nursing homes as a registered therapy horse.
An equine ambassador that people and horses of all sizes can look up to, Patrick’s accolades include being inducted into the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association Hero Animal Hall of Fame and the USEF/ EQUUS Foundation Horse Stars Hall of Fame. We know you'll be be excited to welcome Patrick and Sarah back and get some more mini snuggles! Make sure to catch their daily demos in the Covered Arena or meet them back in event stabling.
