Shuttle Service at BreyerFest

BreyerFest offers guests a convenient shuttle service that operates within the Kentucky Horse Park during the day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and to ferry guests to the Clarion on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. This service is complimentary and we recommend guests take advantage of it, especially to get to the Clarion in the evenings when parking is a challenge.

For 2026, we have made some updates to the service, so we wanted to make sure guests were aware of these changes so they could plan accordingly for this summer – especially for guests who are used to the routes from previous years.

There are now three internal shuttle routes at the Kentucky Horse Park that will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 9 am to 5:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and until about 4:30 pm on Sunday of BreyerFest weekend.

·       The Blue Route will offer express service between the American Saddlebred Museum (near the BreyerFest main entrance) and the South Expo Hall of the Alltech Arena. Buses will make stops at only these two locations and run back and forth all day.

·       The Red Route will offer express service between the intersection of Nina Bonnie Blvd and Lee Cholak Dr, which is right by the Event Model Handout tent, to the South Expo Hall of the Alltech Arena. Buses will make stops at only these two locations and run back and forth all day.

·       The Purple Route will offer express service between the intersection of Nina Bonnie Blvd and Lee Cholak Dr, which is right by the Event Model Handout tent, to the American Saddlebred Museum (near the BreyerFest main entrance). Buses will make stops at only these two locations and run back and forth all day.

For guests looking to travel to the Clarion Hotel on Newtown Pike on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evenings of BreyerFest weekend, we have two routes that will operate every 30 minutes* from approximately 4:30 pm until approximately 11:00 pm, when the last shuttles will depart the Clarion to finish their routes.

·       The Yellow Route is our Hotels Loop, which will run a constant loop between four of this year’s partner hotels – the Clarion, the Embassy Suites, the EverHome Suites, and the Quality Inn/Mainstay Suites. Guests staying at the LaQuinta or the Glo are welcome to use the stop located at the Quality Inn/Mainstay Suites. If you’re coming to BreyerFest and want to book at any of this year’s partner hotels, you can find booking links for special BreyerFest rates here in our Travel Guide.

·       The Green Route will offer express service between the Kentucky Horse Park and the Clarion Hotel and will make stops at the American Saddlebred Museum and the South Expo Hall of the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park, to service guests parked in both parking lots, and at the Clarion Hotel. We highly recommend that guests take advantage of this route if they are not staying at one of the partner hotels that is serviced by the Yellow Route in the evenings. Parking at the Clarion is reserved for guests of the hotel only and we do not recommend even trying to park there.

BreyerFest does not offer daytime shuttle service from the Clarion to the KHP prior to the 4:30 pm evening shuttle start time, so please plan accordingly if you are flying into Lexington for BreyerFest.

*Please note that this timing is approximate and is impacted by factors that BreyerFest does not control, including traffic.  Rush hour traffic on Newtown Pike, the road all of the hotels are located on, should be expected on Thursday and Friday evenings and we appreciate your patience as our drivers work to get guests to their destinations as quickly and safely as possible.
