Water As Clear As Glass

The Nordic countries are known for their incredible geography, stunning views, and other-worldly landscapes.  From the fjords of Norway, to the lakes of Finland, to the glacier-fed waterfalls of Iceland, the natural beauty of these nations is like no other place on earth.

As a result of its position on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and frequent tectonic activity, Iceland is dotted with high cliffs and deep valleys that make the country’s landscape exceptionally unique and rugged.  Combined with glacial melt in the summer months, this is the perfect environment to create incredible waterfalls all around the country.

Along the Ring Road in South Iceland visitors can see some examples of these waterfalls, which are fed by the glacier Eyjafjallajökull and are truly breathtaking sights.  Along this route is Skógafoss, a 197-foot-tall waterfall that stretches an massive 82-feet wide.  While the views of the falls are impressive enough from the ground, highly-motivated visitors can climb the 527 steps up the hill to a viewing platform for very impressive (if vertigo-inducing) views from the top of the falls!

In celebration of this natural wonder, we are thrilled to reveal to fans this year’s BreyerFest Limited Edition crystal model – Skógafoss.  The handsome Icelandic stallion has been shrunk down into a 5” crystal that will be available to all ticket holders, both in-person and online.
