These horses and their friends have made memories that will last a lifetime!
In the not-too-distant past, Jenn Constantine conceived of an idea for a medallion: painting a ghostly skeleton horse. This brought about "Spook," a creation that quickly became a beloved and an iconic representation of Jenn's work. Jenn has made a name for herself since in both the realms of realistic and fantastical interpretations of the equine skeleton and has hosted workshops for both BreyerWest in Denver and BreyerFest in Lexington.
Jenn's artistic focus has been transforming skeletons from lifeless, cold forms into dynamic, "breathing" creatures that narrate compelling and thought-provoking stories for viewers. Her skill in acrylics paints, customizing, and re-sculpting has allowed her to breathe life into various incarnations of Spook, whether in 2D flatwork or intricate custom 3D models. Other fantastical beasts have found their way into her work as well!
A perpetual learner, Jenn finds great joy in refining her skills and sharing her knowledge with others and will be joining us both Saturday and Sunday during BreyerMidwest weekend. She will be looking forward to meeting guests at the Hobby table all day on Saturday, teaching folks about the various parts that make up the model horse hobby, from collecting to art. On Sunday, you’ll be able to chat with Jenn in our Artists Alley, where she will be actively working on a project, demonstrating her incredible skill to fans. Be sure to stop by either day to day hi!
