Creating Colorful Suncatcher Stablemates: Video Tutorial

Suncatcher Stablemates are an iconic piece of the Breyer Craft and Activity collection, and here are some ideas for new spins you can put on colorful creations! Artist Christina Riley hosts this live workshops where she teaches you how to decorate your suncatchers with some unique twists, including fun fall-inspired themes.

This is a replay of a live workshop held as part of 2022 Breyer's National Fun Day.

 Recommended Supply List:

• Breyer Suncatcher Stablemates kit (all kits include Stablemates model(s), brush, and suncatcher paints)
• Ultra Fine Tip permanent marker
• Cup of water
• Paper towels
• Opaque acrylic paint (preferably black; optional)

Additional supplies for hanging suncatcher:

• Pin vise/miniature hand drill
• Dremel/rotary tool
• Small eye hooks
• Needlenose pliers
• Fishing line/Illusion Cord
• Hot (or jewelry) glue
• Small craft mirrors (1" or smaller, at least two that match each other)
• Extra decorative bits, ex.:
• Colorful beads (translucent works best)
• Flat-backed rhinestones/gems (at least two that match each other)
