Painting a Champagne Horse: Video Tutorial

Champagne isn't just a drink for toasting! It's also a unique "double dilute" color that can be found in some horse breeds. Champagnes are characterized by their mottled skin, amber eyes, and light yellow-brown coats. Want to paint one of your own? Finishwork artist Jenn Constantine will show us how! This tutorial will use a Stablemates scale model, but these techniques can be applied to projects of any scale.

• Acrylic paints, in colors:
• Titanium White
• Burnt Sienna
• Gold
• Copper
• Pearl
• Titan Buff/Unbleached Titanium

• Note: Liquitex Soft Body or Basics paints are recommended
• Water cup and water
• Wet palette (DIY with a sealable plastic container, damp paper towel and parchment paper cut to size, or purchase premade)
• Paper towels
