Introducing Bernadette! Only the fifth Draft mold when she made her debut in 1972, Chris Hess’s gentle Shire Mare is now being issued in a Gambler’s Choice of the four original Decorator colors Golden Charm, Florentine, Copenhagen, and Wedgewood Blue.
This represents a real departure for her: the Shire Mare was part of a trend in the late 1960s and early 1970s toward more naturalistic colors and finishes, and most of her releases have been on the realistic side. In her 2019 Vintage Club release, she gets to play a little dress up!
