The Second Release of the 2022 Vintage Club!
During a time where more domesticated breeds and colors ruled the day, Chris Hess’s Smoky (mold #69) made quite a scene when he arrived on store shelves in 1981. Taking inspiration directly from the author’s illustrations in the novel Smoky the Cowhorse, Hess managed to capture the unconquerable spirit and resiliency of the titular hero of Will James’s Newbery Award-winning novel.
Smoky has turned many heads over the years in a series of eye-catching colors. In keeping with that tradition, we’ve decided to dress him up for his 2022 Vintage Club release as Sandman in a bold glossy red dun pinto.
As with all of our Vintage releases, Cooper comes in a full-color box, complete with a booklet and numbered certificate of authenticity.
